The Ronald Denis Foundation is honored to invite you to the 8th edition of its annual gala, which will take place on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, an event that has become a pillar of Montreal philanthropy. This year, we celebrate the extraordinary career of our honorary chair, a man whose vision has redefined entertainment in Canada: Mr. Jacques Aubé, FCPA, FCA.

Under Jacques Aubé’s leadership, Espace St-Denis has reaffirmed its appeal. Jacques’ arrival has significantly increased the institution’s attractiveness to major partners, while breathing new life into its programming.

Current President and CEO of Espace St-Denis, a subsidiary of the company France Film, Jacques Aubé is much more than just an administrator; he is a tireless builder. A trained accountant and former LHJMQ player, he has successfully combined financial discipline with boundless creative audacity.

• The Architect of Evenko: Under his leadership, the number of shows grew from 128 to over 1,250 per year. He transformed the organization into a global leader, creating iconic festivals such as OSHEAGA, ÎleSoniq, Lasso, and Fuego Fuego.

• The Man Behind Historic Deals: He is responsible for legendary coups, such as bringing U2 to the Hippodrome (162,000 fans!) and Metallica‘s memorable performance at the Olympic Stadium.

• A pillar of sport: He orchestrated the triumphant return of major league baseball with the Blue Jays‘ preseason games, while brilliantly navigating the world of Groupe CH (Montreal Canadiens).

• Tourism ambassador: Through his role with Spectra Group, he has watched over the jewels of our culture: the International Jazz Festival, the Francos de Montréal, and Montréal en Lumière.

Recipient of the title of Fellow (FCPA) and winner of numerous awards (Tourisme Montréal, Destination centre-ville), Jacques Aubé is now putting his energy and leadership skills to work in revitalizing a historic Montreal site, l’Espace St-Denis, and, for one night only, in support of our cause.

Apéro and dinner by “Le Molière”

For this 8th edition, the welcome cocktail and three-course meal will be orchestrated by Le Molière, the renowned French brasserie adjacent to Espace St-Denis.

A tailor-made show full of surprises

The highlight of the evening will be our grand variety show at 9 p.m. True to our tradition, we have designed a unique production, entirely inspired by Mr. Aubé’s musical tastes, anecdotes, and pivotal moments in his life. Expect an artistic immersion where each act is a surprise, paying tribute to the man who made Montreal vibrate, from accounting to the major leagues, from the stage to international festivals.
