Annual report 2025

Financial Support for Patient Care

A nutritional and psychological support program was launched in September 2024 to provide patients with comprehensive guidance throughout their health journey. In 2025, the Foundation dedicated $26,028.42 to support this initiative, which helps patients adopt healthier and more sustainable lifestyle habits while strengthening their long-term well-being.

$50,000 for the Purchase of Advanced Technology

The Foundation made a third payment of $50,000 toward the purchase of advanced technology the Holmium laser used for the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). This investment helps improve access to high-quality care for patients affected by this condition.

Purchase of Medical Equipment

Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is among the most common conditions affecting men’s health. This condition can lead to significant complications, including urinary retention, recurrent urinary tract infections, impaired kidney function, bladder stones, and bothersome urinary symptoms. These consequences occur more frequently in patients with very large prostate volumes, for whom certain conventional surgical techniques may be less effective or less appropriate.

In September, the Foundation completed the purchase of the Piranha morcellator from AMT Medical. This device, used in urological surgery particularly following a Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate (HoLEP) procedure enables the morcellation and removal of excised prostate tissue, thereby improving the safety and efficiency of the intervention. The equipment was financed interest-free over a 36-month period, with monthly payments of $6,405.45, allowing the Foundation to optimize its resources while continuing to enhance the quality of care provided to patients.

The acquisition of the Piranha morcellator, made possible through the Foundation, now allows surgeons to provide optimal surgical treatment for patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and significantly enlarged prostates, particularly during HoLEP procedures. This represents an important step forward in improving access to this specialized surgery, which remains available in only a limited number of centers across the province.

Annual Golf Tournament

The 2025 Ronald Denis Foundation Golf Tournament was a great success thanks to the exceptional commitment of our collaborators, partners, and volunteers. A net amount of $300,849.71 was raised during the event.

The funds collected made it possible to finalize the purchase of specialized men’s health equipment while also helping cover the high cost of medical supplies required for surgical procedures for a significant part of the year.

Thanks to this remarkable mobilization, the Foundation can continue its mission and generate a concrete and lasting impact for the people it supports.

Ornaments Initiative

The Christmas Ornaments initiative generated great enthusiasm, but the implementation process took longer than expected. To allow everyone to enjoy this beautiful tradition while supporting our mission, the ornament sale will continue in 2026. The total sales amount will be communicated in next year’s annual report.

Ronald Denis Foundation Gala

In May 2025, the Ronald Denis Foundation Gala raised a net amount of $120,702.06, a success that strengthens our ability to carry out our initiatives. We sincerely thank all our donors, collaborators, and volunteers whose commitment and generosity make a tangible difference in the lives of those we support.

Contribution to Surgical Costs

In 2025, the Foundation allocated $107,161.90 to cover surgical costs within the sectors aligned with its mission. This funding made it possible to provide essential care to patients in need while helping improve their health and quality of life.

Donation to the J. Sampalis Foundation

The Foundation contributed $3,500 to the J. Sampalis Foundation to support cancer research, improve patient prognosis, provide patient support, and raise public awareness about this important cause.
