Surgeon and Chief of surgery at Hôpital du Sacré-Cœur de Montréal (HSCM), Dr. Ronald Denis is first and foremost a surgeon who holds at heart the care of his patients. His Foundation allows him to use his experience, in combination with advances in science, for the most optimal treatment improving the overall health of his patients.
During his career, Dr. Ronald Denis has accomplished major projects in the healthcare sector that were linked to social and medical causes. His goal is always to improve patient health and to contribute to a better and more efficient health system.
A pioneer in the trauma field – Dr. Denis has spearheaded the development of traumatology in Quebec. He was the first, while Director of the traumatology program at the HSCM, to establish, as early as 1988, a program of tertiary traumatology based on interdisciplinary medicine. He also played a crucial role in raising more than 10 millions dollars to build at the HSCM the first integrated Trauma center in Quebec.
